Process

How we work.

We publish this because it is the fairest way to judge a studio you have not worked with before. You can see what happens, in what order, and what you get to hold at the end of each stage. If any of it does not suit how your business runs, better that you find out now.

The four stages

  1. 01

    Design

We start with your customers, not your homepage. Who is coming to the site, what they are trying to do, and what you need them to do instead. Then we map the site — every page, and what each one is for. Wireframes come next: layout and content order, deliberately without colour, so we are arguing about structure rather than the shade of a button. Once structure is signed off, we design every template properly.

    What you get

    • A sitemap
    • Wireframes for every page type
    • Full visual designs for every template

    What we need from you

Your text and images within two weeks of starting. Genuinely — this is the single thing that decides whether the project finishes on time.

  2. 02

    Build

Approved designs become a working site. We build it responsive from the start, keep the code lean, and set up the CMS so your team can edit content without breaking the layout. You get a private staging URL on day one and you are welcome to look at it whenever you like.

    What you get

    • A private staging link
    • Weekly progress notes
    • A working, editable site

    What we need from you

Access to your hosting and domain — or permission for us to set them up in your name.

  3. 03

    Test

Nothing goes live untested. Every page on current Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Real phones and tablets, not a browser window dragged narrow. Every form submitted and confirmed to arrive. Every link followed. On a store, the whole checkout run end to end including a real payment and a real refund. Page speed measured and fixed. Analytics confirmed firing.

    What you get

    • The completed pre-launch checklist, item by item
    • Any issues found, and what we did about them

    What we need from you

Twenty minutes to click around it yourself. You know your business better than we do.

  4. 04

    Launch and support

We take it live at a time that suits your business, not ours. Redirects from any old URLs so you do not lose your search rankings. XML sitemap submitted. Analytics and Search Console connected. Then we sit with your team and walk them through running it.

    What you get

    • A live site
    • Admin logins and a walkthrough recording
    • A support period, agreed in writing before we start

    What we need from you

Nothing. This part is on us.

Who you’ll deal with

One person owns your project from the first call to launch. There is no account manager relaying your feedback to a developer you never meet. When you ask why something was built a particular way, you are asking the person who built it.

That is the advantage of a studio this size. The trade-off is that we can only run a handful of projects at a time, so our start dates are real dates rather than a formality. If we cannot start when you need us, we will tell you rather than take the deposit and stall.

And afterwards

You can walk away and run the site yourself. That is a legitimate outcome and it is how the site is built — your hosting, your domain, your admin logins, no retainer.

Or we can stay on for updates and maintenance, quoted separately, with no minimum term and no notice period. If you stop needing us, you stop paying us.

Next step

Tell us what you’re trying to build.

Send a few lines about the project. You’ll get a straight answer on whether we’re the right fit, roughly what it would cost, and how long it would take. If we’re not the right people, we’ll say so.
